RECORD BREAKING: 70 SHIP DELIVERIES
Apart from his love for the sea, Captain Bart Schulting also has an eye for data. He has worked for TOS since 2005 and brings new built ships, sailing on their own keels, to the end customer or sails existing ships to a new area for work or to their home ports. Over time, TOS changed to a new data system so his 70th delivery anniversary came as a surprise to us. But Captain Bart kept an old school logbook of his deliveries, all 70 of them!!
Ship delivery: Crossing the North Atlantic
The crew is prepared for bad weather crossing the North Atlantic. Everything is securely fastened for a rough sea. But the voyage goes above expectations. It is very smooth. The good weather starts as soon as they pass the Greek islands.

IHC Dredger: Three times lucky
He did it again! Our Ship Delivery Captain Piet Smit delivered the third of a series of IHC Dredgers. I brought an Easydredge 3700 to its port of destination twice. Lovely trips to the Maldives and Cuba. Now it’s the turn of Mont Mandara, an Easydredge 2700.
SHIP DELIVERY CREW RETURNS
Our travel desk made every effort to get them back home. The crew travelled from Uruguay to São Paulo (Brazil) to Frankfurt (Germany) to Schiphol (the Netherlands). Our Superintendents, Myron Dam and Thies Kegge, welcomed them at Schiphol to give them a thumbs up & some presents.
FIRST SOLO COMPASS ADJUSTMENT
Adjustment: Last week it finally happened: my first solo adjustment. We received a job for a patrol vessel. The location was Hoek van Holland, and the weather was just fine J.
Smooth delivery to Guatemala
Barnhoorn: ‘Since this is a voyage of more than 7,000 nautical miles, the vessel has to sail for approximately 45 days. It’s a relatively long journey for such a small but powerful tug. The living area on board is limited for such a period.
