Last week, TOS hosted an event for the corporate network, Sociëteit Rotterdam Maritiem. A local club for companies that are in any way active as a maritime company (also known as ‘wet’ companies) in the Rotterdam Port Area. TOS has been a member of this network since the major renovation of the Waalhaven Oostzijde in 2013-2014. Rolf Kievits, Sales Manager Ship Delivery, has been TOS contact person within this network so far and Giuseppina Donnina, Business Manager Work2Learn & Logistics, has now been recommended because we think TOS Work2Learn & TOS Logistics in particular can benefit from this network.
The SRM uses the office of Smit Duikbedrijf as its “regular” meeting place but likes to alternate with the locations of other members. For this edition, they asked if TOS would receive the members, which we gladly did! Rolf gave a presentation about TOS in general, after which Giuseppina took over and brought Work2Learn to the stage. As a real quizmaster, Giuseppina gave a small quiz with facts and figures about the Port of Rotterdam and handed out a nice book to Jan Kroon of Fibercore Europe. It was a nice edition of the SRM networking drink.
