TOS TRAVELDESK: WE ARE COMMITED!
Travelling in these Corona times is a challenge. Still, Myrthe & Sabine of the TOS Traveldesk continue to look each day for possibilities to get crew off or on board. They have their hands full keeping track of the constant changes per country and per travel organisation. ‘We are committed to arranging crew changes for our seafarers and offshore wind professionals, and to keeping our global supply chains moving!’, says Myrthe Soetens, Consultant Traveldesk at TOS.
TIPS & TOPS FOR TRAVELLING IN CORONA TIMES
- Keep in close contact with your TOS contact person: unfortunately, plans may change.
- Are you dependent on medicine? Make sure to pack extra!
- Bring your own face mask: due to COVID-19 restrictions from airlines or national governments, you need to be in possession of a face mask during (inter)national travel.
So, please make sure that you travel with a face mask because not wearing a face mask could have the consequence that you will not be allowed to board the aeroplane or vessel. There are no specific (medical) requirements for the face mask. It can be a disposable face mask (one-time usage) or a reusable face mask (that can be washed after each usage), as long as it covers your nose and mouth.

GOOD NEWS
KLM, together with the KVNR, has given the green light to resume crew changes. The (Dutch) ship owners have the greatest need for air bridges between Amsterdam, which is close to many large seaports in Northwest Europe, as well as the Philippines, Russia, Ukraine, Indonesia and Poland, the home countries of most seafarers.
