TOS is a proud sponsor of the Maasrace, a famous rowing race that takes place tomorrow, September 5th, during the World Port Days in Rotterdam. The Maasrace is unique in longboat racing as it is the only race of the year where you see sixty longboats take off from the starting line simultaneously. This spectacle out on the water along with the hustle and bustle of the World Port Days are not to be missed! The starting line is just east of the Erasmus Bridge and so you’ll have a great view from the bridge. The longboats row eastwards over the Maas, just past the Van Brienenoord Bridge before turning around. On the way back, they pass through the old harbours of the city, finishing at the Lloydkade. The total distance covered in the race is approximately sixteen kilometers.
