For every new project and working area proper preparation is inevitable. TOS and Seafox have joined forces since 2008 on several projects in Denmark and the UK. Marlena Holdermans, Executive Manager Finance, Quality & Law: ‘TOS is one of the preferred crew suppliers on board Seafox’s jack-up rigs that operate within the territorial waters of various EU-member states. We take pride in the support we provide Seafox throughout their daily business, executing proper research and by offering them practical solutions. This is especially so when they are faced with new rules and/or regulations due to, for example, the work location of their vessels/units.
Seafox’s HR-Manager Sander Bais experienced the Quality & Law services of TOS while starting a new project in Denmark
Sander Bais: ‘Before we entered Danish waters with our Seafox 5 platform, we did a lot of research on the legal status of taxation/social security and pension prior to the project. When jack-up units set foot on foreign soil, the unit and every employee on board become liable to the tax and/or social security regime in that country. A combined visit to the Danish authorities with Seafox and TOS present gave many answers on this subject and, during that time, Marlena Holdermans showed us that she was very much on top of things.’
How did you experience the TOS working method and the way they shared knowledge with you and the crew on board?
Sander Bais: ‘TOS has a good, knowledgeable department for rules and regulations. They are always honest in their findings and share those with us. If they don’t know the answer, they will find out by all means possible and will inform you about it. I reckon they have the same attitude and service-level towards their personnel.
TOS has a strong knowledge/database on maritime & offshore personnel with relevant education and certification. As a growing company, we benefit from this. Furthermore their open communication is really appreciated by myself and team-members working closely with TOS. I would recommend TOS to other companies due to the fact they are knowledgeable and think in solutions, not problems.’
