Today, April 28th, is World Day for Safety & Health at Work. A good time to bring everyone’s attention to this issue.
In 2019, the theme of this day is ‘A Safe and healthy future of work’.
The campaign aims to accelerate action and awareness for the future of work. The world of work is transforming before our eyes, bringing with it unique opportunities while simultaneously providing novel challenges. New challenges are emerging in the field of technology, demographics, sustainable development and changes in work organisation. Life-long learning and continued skill development can help workers and employers adapt to new, emerging, and persistent safety and health risk. How do our colleagues see this ‘life-long learning’? In our magazine TOS TIMES, six resources share their views about this topic.
As you all already know: when it comes to safety, it’s important to lead by example. So, keep an eye on your colleagues, keep on learning, and safe voyages!’, says Marlena Holdermans Compliance Director at TOS. Have you read our Health & Safety Handbook already? It contains some important tips that can help you carry out your work safely. Click on this link: H&S Handbook
