Nice weather and a tennis tournament: it doesn’t get any better than this. At TOS, four colleagues registered for the second Rotterdam Port Tennis Tournament. So did 40 sporty RPPC (Rotterdam Port Promotion Council) members. It was a pleasant and sunny afternoon. Josien Cool and Tanguy Wagenaar joined one of the four doubles groups. In group B, they played 30-minute matches and reached the number one position. Many thanks to Chris, who replaced Josien for the first two games.
PORT TENNIS TOURNAMENT: TENNIS CLINIC
On the other courts, a tennis pro gave a clinic for members who had never played tennis before. Maud Kooijman and Jolie Seleba had always wanted to hit a ball. ‘We laughed a lot, and I almost broke my wrist. It’s not a natural movement, after all,’ said Jolie. ‘I used to play tennis as a child, but apparently little has stuck :). Yes, there were a lot of laughs. The pictures say enough. A super clinic!’, added Maud. TOS also sent a supporter. Marleen Stuurman was there to encourage everyone from the sidelines. She has a natural talent for the job!
Thank you, team RPPC and Susan Dijkstra and Chris van der Deijl for this sporty and well-organised event. Take a look at the RPPC website about the Port Tennis Tournament (link).
