Today, April 28th is World Day for Safety & Health at Work. A good time to bring everyone’s attention to the issue Safety at work. In 2018, the theme of this day is ‘Safety and health of young workers’.
The campaign aims to accelerate action to achieve a safe and secure working environment for all workers by 2030. Achieving this goal for the benefit of the next generation requires a concerted and integrated approach to promoting a culture of prevention when it comes to Safety & Health.

Younger workers suffer a much higher rate of nonfatal occupational injuries than adult workers above the age of 25, because of their…
- physical and psychological stage of development
- lack of work experience
- lack of training
- limited awareness of work-related hazards
- lack of bargaining power
As you all already know: with safety, it’s important to lead by example. So, keep an eye on our young workers and let’s keep them safe!
