Our client, based in Nigeria, manages a fleet of tugs, pilot boats, dredgers, crew boats and survey vessels located in the port of Lagos. They offer a wide range of marine projects. For this client, we are looking for ASD Harbour Tug Captains.
IS THIS JOB MADE FOR YOU?
For our client in Nigeria, we are looking for experienced ASD Harbour Tug Captains. You are motivated, work independently and looking for a challenge! As a harbour tug captain, you are responsible for safely assisting seagoing vessels during mooring and unmooring. You ensure the crew on board carries out the work safely and responsibly. You motivate and manage the other crew members so that they know their responsibilities and can carry out activities to the best of their ability.
IS THIS YOUR PROFILE?
- You are preferably in possession of a valid licence of Master <500 GT or higher
- You have valid STCW certificates, medical examination and a valid seaman’s book
- Experience with manoeuvring ASD
- Experience on (harbour) tugs
- Good command of the English language in word and writing
- You possess managerial skills
- You are customer-oriented
WORKING CONDITIONS
The sailing and leave schedule is six weeks on and six weeks off.
