This year TOS sponsored overalls for all first-year students at both The Maritime Institute Willem Barentsz on the Dutch island of Terschelling and De Ruyter Academy in Vlissingen! At the beginning of their studies, first-year students always receive new overalls. This year, TOS had the honour of providing them. In this way, the students can participate in the practical training of the education programme in the machine rooms safely and uniformly. We wish all the students a great time and much luck studying for their bachelor degree.
Last week, Pim Oosterhoff (Consultant Maritime) and Micha Termaat (Recruiter) visited the Maritime Institute Willem Barentsz on Terschelling to meet all the new students, to introduce TOS, and to present them with their very own TOS overalls. The Maritime Institute Willem Barentsz provides full-time, bachelor-degree education for Maritime Officer and Hydrographic Surveyor. Additionally, it provides some other maritime programmes and participates in research projects.
Another collaboration is with De Ruyter Academy in Vlissingen. Yteke Wentink (Consultant Offshore) and Sabine van den Elshout (Consultant Onshore) visited the Academy at the start of the new academic year. The hands-on education programme for Maritime Officer at De Ruyter Academy prepares students for a challenging international career at sea or ashore. Visit the website for more information (in Dutch) about the Maritime Officer programme.
