maandag 15 maart 2010
Denmark: Skykon Offshore and Lind Industrial Park have signed a lease on a 100,000 square metre area corresponding to approximately ten percent of the industrial park·s total available area. Skykon produces foundations for offshore wind turbines.
The leased area includes parts of the original shipyard facilities and a number of buildings for administration, workshop and painting halls for production of foundations for offshore wind turbines. Skykon will take over the facilities this year.
"Our facilities are an incredibly good match for Skykon Offshore, and we are very happy that we got this lease agreement in place,” said Michael Nymark Hansen, Senior Vice President, Head of Lindø Industrial Park.
Skykon Offshore will invest in the enlargement of their operation at Lindø, and establish another base for the company·s rapid and ambitious growth in the production of foundations for offshore wind turbines.
The agreement is long term and run for a minimum of ten years. Initially Skykon Offshore will conduct renovations, and will in the first quarter 2011 be ready for disembarkation of the first foundations from Lindø.
